A documentary short about my mother, Kari Hanson, and her collection of items from her youth. These items live quietly, tucked in a back closet in the garage at my childhood home. Through close observation and reflection, the short film lingers on the irony of preservation without use, and the emotional weight of things saved for no clear reason other than fear of loss, posterity, or respect for the past.
